Aloe is a very popular genus of succulent with over 300 species occuring naturally in Africa, Madagascar, and Arabia. Aloe species vary from grass like succulents to large trees. Aloe vera, the burn plant is one of the first succulent ever documented. A 100% pure Aloe Vera powder from the whole leaf of the aloe vera plant. No matrix, filler, or preservatives are added.

Properties/Uses - Traditionally, Aloe vera has been used in ointments and creams to assist the healing of burns and wounds. More specifically, it has been used to treat the skin diseases of eczema and psoriasis. Aloe vera has been used in beauty treatments (Cleopatra is said to have attributed her beauty to it), for skin conditions and as a laxative. Used internally, the gel may be useful for peptic ulcers and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). At low doses, bitter aloes stimulate digestion, and at higher doses, they are a laxative and a purgative.
